Remember
when the salt stung in your eyes at the beach, the waves crashing onto the sand
loudly, the breaking while surfing along them. That was summer.
Remember
when you sat in the sun scorching your skin baby pink, burning and sizzling
like pork on the barbeque. That was summer.
Remember
when you sat inside relaxing or trying to escape the heat, slapping at your
skin to get rid of the flies circling your body, wiping the sticky sweaty hair
off your skin. That was summer.
Remember when
you play sport on the sticky melting tarmac or grass, sweating like crazy.
That was
summer.
